Intranet 2.0 - prologue

As from this week I have a new mission as communications manager - jolly bananas!

The assignment is for the IT department of an international banking group and fits like a glove for yours sincerely. Work out a communications program that supports the different IT & services lines during a period of change and transformation.

It's quite typical for companies undergoing a major change that they need to work on different layers such as culture, processes, systems and relationships in order to achieve their desired "new State" : a new philosophy.

Communicating during times of change is crucial to keep every single stakeholder aligned with the new strategy and corporate philosophy - 7.510.000 hits are only a click away if you want to find out more on the matter.

A good communications plan will be the catalyst for change, supportive in introducing new processes and is the initiator of further bonding i.e. alignment with the business community.
The business and IT communities total a whopping 110000 people so a solid framework combined with CRM and portal technology will need to be put in place.
Intranet is widely used in the company and it is an important channel for sharing information with their customers and employees.

Sharing, collaborating, engaging... across all communities - season it with a bit of marketing and provide an innovative platform capable of binding these communities...
Wake up and smell the coffee sunshine because the Intranet 2.0 is due to be launched this summer.
